Interview with the hotel director Pierino Di Sanzo
Please introduce yourself briefly and tell us what makes your hotel or hosting role special.
My name is Pierino Di Sanzo and I am the hotel director of the health resort in Freiburg (Dorint Thermenhotel & Mooswaldklinik). The health resort is the perfect address for a short and wellness vacation. Our location is on the outskirts of the city of Freiburg in the middle of beautiful, relaxing nature, right next to the thermal baths with modern wellness facilities.
Did you or how did you do revenue management before you switched to happyhotel?
Before we used happyhotel, we had constant prices that changed seasonally. So we didn’t do revenue management yet.
What does the dynamic pricing process look like NOW for you guys?
Today, we use happyhotel in an automated way and have completely changed our pricing strategy. We now only have dynamic prices that happyhotel sets for us.
Which features of happyhotel do you not want to miss anymore?
The daily report, as well as the detailed analysis area, gives me insights that I could never get otherwise. Both provide me quickly and clearly with all the relevant data I need on a daily basis.
What is the best thing about happyhotel? Which feature do you feel saves you the most time?
For me, the time saving comes first. If I had to compile the data that happyhotel delivers to me within seconds myself, it would be a very big time commitment.
Have you already made a recognizable additional turnover and if so, by what percentage have you been able to increase your turnover through happyhotel?
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, it is a difficult time to compare. We feel that ADR is particularly high on days when demand is high.
